2008 Dixie National

Special Rules 

1. All horses brought on the show grounds must have a current (within 12 months) negative coggins test certificate plus a current Health certificate issued within thirty (30) days. Certificates will be checked at the Livestock gate. Do not send to the show secretary. 

2. All horses are required to rent a stall or pay a grounds fee.  Shavings will be available on the grounds or you may bring your own. Straw is not allowed

3. In the event an entry must cancel due to death or a performance prohibiting injury, the entry fee less $25 office charge will be refunded or horse substitution by the same owner may be made, provided the show secretary is furnished with a veterinarian’s confirming written statement prior to the time the class is called. 

4. Open horse, Timed Event Horse, Amateur, Youth 5-9, Youth 13 and Under, and Youth 14-18 must compete in a minimum of 3 performance classes and Halter or Color to qualify for a High Point Award. 

5. To qualify for open Halter&Color High Point Award, horse must be shown in both classes.   

6.  MUST DESIGNATE ON ENTRY FORM IF COMPETING FOR ONE OR MORE HIGH POINT AWARDS. 

7.   There is no entry fee for the Color class with one paid class entry. 

8. The Dixie National Palomino Show will be one quadruple judged show with classes beginning on Saturday and continuing through Sunday.  The daily schedule of classes is indicated on the show schedule. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to be present when class is called. 

9. Classes will be run according to show schedule.  Classes may be combined as management deems necessary.  Classes may not be split.  Classes without three entries may be cancelled. 

10. Owners and exhibitors of horses must be current members of PHBA.

 11. Entry forms must contain all information requested including complete mailing address of recorded owner of horse and signature where required. Entries must include the following: (a) Full payment for classes, PHBA & administrative fees and stall fees (b) copy of PHBA papers on all horses entered (c) Birth date of Youth exhibitors (d) PHBA Youth and Amateur numbers where required (e) Be prepared to show membership cards, including Youth and Amateur. You may send a copy of card(s) with entry. Incomplete entries will be returned. 

12. Stalls are reserved when a paid entry is received. If you wish to be stalled with another entry, please submit entries in same envelope. Requests will be honored when possible, but are not guaranteed.  

13. Entries must be postmarked on or before January 18, 2008.  Entries not postmarked by January 18, 2008 may enter at the show with no penalty. Additional classes may be entered at the show BUT must be done in the show office by 3:00 p.m. the day preceding that class.
